About TechHunter

TechHunter helps you find the best price on a Mac in South Africa. We check the prices across the trusted local retailers — iStore, Takealot, Evetech, Incredible, Wootware, Amazon and more — and put them in one place, so you can see who’s cheapest without opening ten browser tabs.

We started it for a simple reason: we’re tech people who kept getting asked “where’s the cheapest place to buy a Mac?” — and answering it always meant comparing a dozen sites by hand. So we built the tool that does it for you. 👊

Who it’s for

TechHunter is made for normal buyers — especially first-timers who find the whole thing a bit overwhelming. You don’t need to know your M4 from your M5, or how much RAM you’re meant to get. We keep the advice plain, point you to the right Mac for what you actually need, and then show you the cheapest place to buy it. If you just want a straight answer, you’re in the right place. 👌

How we keep it honest

This only works if you can trust it, so here’s the deal: we compare every retailer we track — not just the ones we might earn a little from — and we’re not owned by Apple or any shop. The cheapest price is the cheapest price, full stop. We check prices regularly, but they do move around, so always confirm the final price on the retailer’s site before you buy.
